Official Rules
These Rules govern every sweepstakes event on this site. Each event’s dates, prizes and draw date are fixed by its Event Notice, published here before entries open.
Version 1.0 · published September 2, 2026 · pending attorney review
NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
These Official Rules govern every sweepstakes event (each an “Event”) run by the Sponsor on buildingmorethanhomes.com. Each Event has an Event Notice published on this page and on the Winners page that states the Event name, the entry period, the prizes and their approximate retail value, and the draw date. The Event Notice is part of these Rules. Where an Event Notice and these Rules conflict, the Event Notice controls for that Event only.
Event Notices: no event is currently open. The first Event Notice will be published here, on the Winners page, and by email to the list.
1. Sponsor
Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green – Warren County, a Kentucky nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Sponsor”), [Sponsor mailing address — published before entries open]. The draw is administered on Sponsor’s behalf by Yellowberri (“Administrator”), Bowling Green, Kentucky.
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, excluding residents of Florida, New York and Rhode Island. Employees, board members and contractors of Sponsor and Administrator, of the prize partner (The Fan Stand), and the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling) and household members of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entry constitutes full acceptance of these Rules.
3. Entry Period
Each Event opens and closes at the date and time (Central Time) stated in its Event Notice. There is exactly one deadline per Event and it is not extended. Entries received after the deadline are void. Sponsor’s entry ledger is the official clock.
4. How to Enter — Donation-Linked Entries
During the entry period, a supporter may make a donation to Sponsor through the checkout on this site and will receive the number of entries stated for the donation amount selected. Current donation tiers: $25 → 10 entries · $45 → 20 entries · $100 → 50 entries · $175 → 100 entries · $625 → 500 entries. The Event Notice may change these tiers for a particular Event. Each entry is recorded as an individually numbered record in Sponsor’s entry ledger at the time the donation is completed. Donations connected to entries are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions (IRS Publication 526), because a chance to win is received in return. Donations are non-refundable except as stated in the Refund Policy.
5. How to Enter — Free Entry (Alternate Method of Entry)
No donation is necessary. To enter free, either (a) hand-write your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number and the Event name on a card or sheet of paper and mail it in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope to: Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green – Warren County, Attn: Free Entry, [Sponsor mailing address — published before entries open]; or (b) where offered in the Event Notice, submit the free online entry form or the in-store free entry at the Habitat ReStore. Each valid free entry request receives 10 entries, recorded in the same ledger with the same odds per entry as every other entry. There is no limit on the number of mail-in requests a person may make, but each request must be in its own separate envelope; requests in a single envelope beyond the first are void. Online free entries are limited to one request per person per Event, and in-store free entries to the limits stated in the Event Notice. Mail-in requests must be received (not postmarked) before the Event deadline; mechanically reproduced, incomplete or illegible requests are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected mail.
6. Bonus Entries
An Event Notice may offer a fixed number of bonus entries for specified actions that require no purchase or donation — for example, referring a friend who completes an entry, redeeming a code shown during a live broadcast, or visiting the Habitat ReStore. Bonus entries are subject to the per-person caps stated in the Event Notice, are recorded as numbered ledger entries like any other, and are available on identical terms to free entrants and donating entrants. No bonus entry is ever conditioned on a purchase or donation, and no entry is awarded for sharing or posting on social media.
7. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the Event. The total number of eligible entries is locked and published before the draw.
8. Prizes and Approximate Retail Value
The prizes for each Event, and the approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each as of the date of the Event Notice, are stated in the Event Notice. Trading-card values fluctuate; ARV is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee. Prizes are awarded as described; no cash alternative or substitution by a winner, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a stated prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state and local taxes on a prize are the winner’s sole responsibility. Sponsor will issue IRS Form 1099 where required. Prizes ship insured, with tracking, to a U.S. address only.
9. Winner Selection
At the published draw date, Administrator locks the entry ledger, publishes the total eligible-entry count and a cryptographic fingerprint of the locked ledger, and selects winning entry numbers at random using an independent random-number service. The draw is shown live and the recording remains published. Only entry numbers are used in the selection — never names. The holder of a selected entry is a potential winner until verified under Section 10.
10. Notification, Verification and Claim
Potential winners are notified within 5 business days using the contact details on the entry. A potential winner must respond within 10 days of the first notice and, before any prize is released, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and (except where prohibited) Publicity Release, plus IRS Form W-9 where the ARV is $600 or more. Failure to respond in time, ineligibility, or refusal of the affidavit results in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner from the same locked ledger. Sponsor will never ask a winner to pay anything to receive a prize.
11. Publicity
Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes consent for Sponsor and Administrator to use the winner’s first name, last initial, city and state, and likeness for the purpose of announcing results and promoting future Events, without further compensation.
12. Privacy
Information submitted with an entry is used to administer the sweepstakes (recording entries, verifying eligibility, contacting winners, complying with law) and, where the entrant has opted in, to send Sponsor’s email updates. Entrant data is not sold. Winner names and cities are published as described in Sections 11 and 14.
13. General Conditions
Sponsor may cancel, suspend or modify an Event if fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond its control impairs its integrity; if an Event is cancelled before its draw, donation-linked donations for that Event are refunded under the Refund Policy. Sponsor may disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or acts in violation of these Rules. Sponsor’s decisions are final on all matters relating to the sweepstakes. This sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any trading-card manufacturer, grading service, or Meta, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok or Whatnot. Each entrant releases those companies from any liability connected with the sweepstakes.
14. Winners List
Winners of each Event are published on the Winners page of this site. A written winners list may be requested within 60 days after the draw by mail to Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green – Warren County, Attn: Winners List, [Sponsor mailing address — published before entries open].
15. Disputes and Governing Law
These Rules and all disputes are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts sitting in Warren County, Kentucky.
16. Amendments
Sponsor may amend these Rules before an Event’s entry period opens. The version in force for an Event is the version dated in that Event’s Event Notice, and prior versions are retained.
