Refund Policy
Plain answers about what happens to your donation, when we refund, and how to reach us.
Entries are donations, and donations are final
When you donate through this site you receive sweepstakes entries in return. Because the entries are issued and recorded in the draw ledger the moment your donation completes, donations connected to entries are non-refundable once the entries have been issued. They are also not tax-deductible — see the Official Rules.
When we do refund
We will refund promptly, to the original payment method, in these cases:
Duplicate or mistaken charge. If you were charged twice, or for an amount you did not select, tell us within 30 days and we will correct it.
Ineligible entrant. If you were not eligible to enter (for example, under 18 or a resident of an excluded state) and you tell us before the draw, we will refund the donation and void the entries.
Cancelled event. If an Event is cancelled before its draw takes place, every donation-linked donation for that Event is refunded in full, automatically.
Processing error. If a technical failure meant your entries were never recorded, we will either record them or refund you — your choice.
How to ask
Email [support email — to be published] with the name on the donation, the date, the amount and the receipt number. We answer within 2 business days. Refunds appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Refunded donations void the entries they were linked to.
If you'd rather not donate at all
You never have to. Free entry with identical odds is always available — see Free Entry.
On your statement
Donations appear on card statements as HABITAT BG SWEEPS. If you see that and don’t recognise it, email us before disputing it with your bank — we can usually resolve it the same day.
